The hard part of mobile service is not the signal.
It is everything after it. Getting a SIM from ordered to working, and what happens when a step in that chain fails. What changing a plan mid-cycle does downstream. Reconciling what a megabyte cost against what the host network says it cost. Spectrum, radio and core internals belong to someone else — I work the layer above them.

I co-founded a company whose interfaces were written by the tax authority.
Syma sold point-of-sale and electronic invoicing to Peruvian retailers under SUNAT's rules. Those rules changed on somebody else's schedule, and declining an upgrade was never a position available to us. I was CTO there until 2023.
